I didn't know your son, but I read an article about him and it made me sad that you have to endure this.

Only he knew what was in his heart and now he's at peace.

It's now your job to find your peace and love him forever.

My sympathy and prayers because I care.

We are so devestated by the tragic loss of Will. It was an honor watching him play. His family, and fans were so proud of him. Will was a great leader, friend and teamate. The whole UVa family, past and present players, and coaches adored Will, and will miss him terribly. He had a great smile, great personality, and was a kind person. Our family mourns this tragic loss, and wants the entire Barrow family to know how much we loved him, and them. God Bless you Will.

We did not know your son, but our heart is broken and hurts for you. Please know that God is still in the blessing business. I know that youmay not understand what or why this has happened. but be assured that if you just "Hold On To God's Unchanging Hand" he will give you the strength to get through something that you may never get over. We will continue to keep you in our prayer circle.

Life is hard to understand. Will was always passionate about UVa lacrosse. We are so sad for his passing. We pray for his family today. No words can really say what we feel. We miss Will spirit and humor. He was a man that always was passionate about what he believed. We wish we could be with you in person but know that we are truly praying for your family this week. God bless your family though this difficult situation. We loved Will and miss him dearly. Please know Rita and George that we are praying for you.
God speed. The Dewey family.

The Petit family is trying to understand this whole thing. Sally's stomach is in knots, the boys have tears in their eyes, the husband is offering words of advise. It doesn't make sense. George we love you, always have. Please know we will always support you as you have supported us. We will miss your beautiful son and his smile. He is in the arms of an angel.

I did not know your son personally. I was only a fan from a distance, but that was enough. The way he presented himself with good sportsmanship, yet, played his hard out was completely amazing. My thoughts and prayers are forever with your family.

Hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove,
he only takes the best."

Will was and still is a bright star. The lacrosse community will surely miss one of it's brightest stars. I saw him on numerous occassions and was really impressed with him as a person and athlete, he was a grreat kid. My thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family. Coach Pags

I am so saddened by the loss of Will. As the mom of a UVA student and a widow of someone who died in a similarly tragic manner, I pray that as time moves forward, his family and friends find the strength to simply feel blessed by having had Will touch their lives in so many positive ways and be in their lives for whatever time God has allowed. God grant you all strength and peace. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

When one of the Chicago Machine players told me of the news of Will, I was speechless and heartbroken. My son and I were huge Will Barrow supporters locally in Chicago and we enjoyed watching him play at UVa on ESPNU each weekend. Our family's prayers go out to you and your family will be in our thoughts for some time. I will always think of No. 23 with a special place in my heart.

WIll was my favorite player at UVa, as a defensive middie myself, I tried to play like he did. Now I'm a goalie, but his athletism and commitment on the field was certainly inspiring.
My favourite player at UVa while I watched him those years, he will certainly be missed, and will live on.

I will always love Will. I have hope and faith that, if it is God's will, I may see him again, here on earth. I have faith that Will is in God's memory, therefore, it is a hope that
William is part of those called out of the memorial tombs during the resurrection. Thus, he could be one of the meek ones that will inherit the earth and live forever upon it according to God's promise.
